This week sees RLWC2021 games in London for both the wheelchair and mens’ competitions. The group stages of the wheelchair competition continue at the Copper Box, whilst the mens’ competition reaches the semi-final stage with England taking on Samoa at the Emirates Stadium.
The group stages of the mens’ competition saw 17 past and present Skolars’ players, eight of the teams having at least one Skolar, with eight playing for Jamaica, all of whom were in the squad for their final game against Ireland. That round also saw Ronnie Palumbo score a try for Italy against Australia and Rob Tuliatu displaying the best hair braiding in the competition, with the blue and white of Greece.
Of the seventeen, eight started playing in London and the south. With seventeen players represented, we couldn’t resist picking a squad. The bench is probably one of the fastest you could find, if a little short on forwards.
