AFTER a record-equalling defeat in round six, Skolars scored three tries in a loss to Swinton at Heywood Road.

Coach Joe Mbu was entitled to feel he got some response from his charges and from a number of team changes as Aaron Small, Leighton Ball and Jerome Yates breached the Lions’ tryline on a sunny Mancunian afternoon.

Nevertheless, the home side was too good for the men from the capital, with Max Roberts scoring a hat-trick. Swinton led 30-6 at halftime.
