The club are delighted to announce that the ‘Capital Challenge’ will return on Friday 14th January 2022. The event will once again take place at the iconic Honourable Artillery Company, London. Next year’s instalment will see the London Broncos return as our opposition for this pre-season spectacle. The event will take place for the seventeenth time. It has undoubtedly grown in popularity over the years. In many respects it represents the start of the Rugby League season in London and is a wonderful opportunity to watch Rugby League, entertain colleagues and network with a wide variety of people from a multitude of industries.

The event is proceeded by an outer London school’s tournament. Up to six schools usually take part in a Tag Rugby competition, which permits several young people the opportunity to play Rugby at a truly unique venue. A large proportion of ticket revenue is set aside for the development of our Junior club and we hope that several of these young players will have aspirations to play in the main event one day!

London Skolars General Manager, Charlie de Haan is looking forward to being a part of the day – “After not being able to plan the event in 2021, it is wonderful to confirm that we are now working with our friends at the Broncos and the HAC, to make the 2022 version of the Capital Challenge the most successful one to date. In my mind, there is no better celebration of Rugby League in the south east than this event. If you’ve attended before, we hope to see you again and if you have not been to the HAC, it is a truly remarkable venue that you have to see!”
