It was another busy weekend of Rugby League, as three of the club’s teams competed in fixtures across three different locations.
Our U12s travelled to Oxford to pay the Cavaliers and dominated from start to finish. The 40-4 victory sealed their third League victory of the season and gives the squad an excellent chance to qualify for Finals day on July 24th at Eton Manor RFC. The squad have performed to a high level and deserve the chance to compete in the Final.
The video clips below highlight some of the skill, teamwork and determination on show:
The club’s open-age ‘A’ squad travelled to Wests Warriors. Following a spirited performance against London Chargers the week before (losing 52-18 with 11 men), the team went one better this weekend and recorded a fine victory versus Wests Warriors. This was the squad’s second league victory of the season and will raise confidence as we enter the second half of the campaign. Well done to all involved!
The U16s lost 60-20 to Brentwood Eels. The match was a lot more competitive than the score suggests. With over twenty-five players to chose from, the squad remains extremely eager to train and continue to learn the key skills. A strong end to the season will make a play-off spot an extremely achievable goal.
