London Skolars RLFC would like to announce significant changes to its Board of Directors. These changes are primarily a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Ian ‘Hector’ McNeil, the club’s long standing CEO, who founded the club in 1995, has stepped down. Terry Browne, the club’s Chairman, has also resigned from his role. Both these changes will take place with immediate effect.

Hector has decided to devote the majority of his time, energy and drive to his principal business and his family. Subsequently, this means he will no longer be able to lead the club. Terry has also decided to dedicate his time to family. Additionally, following the government’s advice to self-isolate, he feels a further need to pull back from his commitments to Skolars. Terry will be selling his shares to his son, Colin Browne.

Commenting on their respective decisions, Terry Browne said: “It has been a privilege for Hector and I to have been associated with the club over so many years and be assured we will continue to be its greatest supporters. No doubt as the current panic subsides and normality returns, we will also find ways to positively support the club as it moves forward”.

The board, staff and players would like to thank Terry and Hector for their immense contribution to the club and the sport of Rugby League in London. Their support and guidance has provided the club with firm foundations and allowed it to flourish over the past twenty-five years.

Moving forward, Colin Browne (previously Director of Operations) will be the club’s new CEO and existing Director Adrian Fraine will move into the role of Chairman. Andrew Jackson, Kevin Milne and John Piercy will be remaining on the Board.
