London Skolars are delighted to announce the signing of Jacob Thomas. The Australian has penned a one-year deal at New River Stadium ahead of the 2020 Betfred League 1 campaign and will join the Skolars for pre-season next week.

Moving to the UK from Australia in 2018, he previously played for the Panthers and Ipswich Jets in the Brisbane Premier Division. The 26 year-old spent last season at Dewsbury Rams and recently moved to London with his partner to take up a teaching position.

Head coach Jermaine Coleman commented: “Jacob is an exciting player. He has had some championship experience with Dewsbury and brings that experience with him. He has a good skill set and could add an exciting link in our back line this year”.

Here is what the 26 year-old had to say: “ I am really looking forward to the season ahead. I was keeping a close eye on the Skolars towards the end of last season when my partner got a job in London. After watching from a distance and speaking to Jermaine I am confident the club is on a upward trajectory and I can’t wait to play my part next season in continuing that momentum”.
