London Skolars are delighted to announce that Matt Ross has signed a contract extension until the end of the 2020 season.
Matt initially joined Skolars on loan from Keighley Cougars during the 2018 season before signing for the 2019 season. The 27 year-old has extended his stay for an extra year and will join his teammates for preseason training next month.
Jermaine Coleman, London Skolars Head Coach, said:
“I am glad Matt signed back on. He had some really strong competition in the middle last year and really stepped up and took on board the advicegiven to him by the Coaches. He is an awesome prop, works tirelessly throughout the game and is also willing to do the vital unseen jobs. I am really glad he signed back on and I am looking forward to seeing how he will develop this season”.
Prop forward Ross came through Keighley’s academy and has also spent time at Hemel Stags. He made 12 appearances for Skolars last season. He commented: “ I am really pleased to have signed for another year and looking forward to getting back for pre-season. We were much improved last season and hoping this coming season we can do even better and make the play-offs”
