It was a disappointing afternoon in the summer sun at New River Stadium. A number of sloppy mistakes meant that Skolars never truly got themselves in the game. Whitehaven RLFC were dominant from the off and found themselves 18-0 up at the interval.
Skolars did start the second half a little more brightly, as Juma powered his way through the Whitehaven defence to record Skolars’ only try.
Final result: 6-28.
There was some good news, as Skolars’ Reserves beat a strong Medway team 42-34. The win means the Reserves sit comfortably at the top of the London Men’s league.
