London Skolars lost out in a keenly fought contest at New River Stadium on Saturday afternoon losing 37-30 to Hunslet.

The Skolars flew out of the blocks with tries from Mike Brown, Lameck Juma and Lamont Bryan taking them to an 18-0 lead. 36 unaswered points turned the tide against the North London outfit but late quick fire tries from Neil Thorman and Ryan Burroughs put them back in the match.

A late Cain Southernwood drop goal took the visitors to a 7 point lead as the hooter sounded on a sultry, humin afternoon in the capital.
