London Skolars have signed Tottenham born Iliess Macani on a months loan from Championship club, Sheffield Eagles.
A product of the renowned Skolars junior system, Macani played over 75 games for London Broncos including a standout performance against Super League greats and current champions, Leeds Rhinos. A prolific year in 2015 saw the flyer make 28 games, scoring 12 tries under then Head Coach, Andrew Henderson.
A spell at former World Club Champions, Bradford Bulls followed before joining Sheffield Eagles at the beginning of 2018.
Skolars Head Coach, Jermaine Coleman, said:
“We’re delighted to have Iliess back at the Skolars; a player who knows us well and as a Tottenham boy is a credit to the development structures we have in place in North London. He will add even more speed to our back line along with competition for places. I’m sure there will be plenty of Broncos fans in the area keen to see a former hero in action on Saturday.”
The men from New River have also secured the services of Keighley Cougars forward, Matt Ross on a similar one month loan. Ross will make his debut in Saturday’s game at New River.
