London Skolars lost out narrowly in a tough, if not classic, game against Cumbrian outfit, Whitehaven.
Tries through Billy Driver had left the visitors trailing by only 2 points in the final minutes before a penalty awarded to the London side presented Sam Nash with the chance to pull the scores level and progress to be decided via golden point.
Despite a brave effort it wasn’t to be. Kudos must go to the visitors after making a huge round trip from Haringey to the wintery conditions of Cumbria.
