A week on from GCSE results being eagerly opened by teenagers across the country, the Skolars’ academy programme with Barnet and Southgate College is attracting some excellent individuals from across the capital and the South East.
Among the new recruits is Adam Green, standing 6’4″, Green has only just turned 16 but is already a bright prospect for the future of rugby league in London.
“I’m excited to be part of the programme with Skolars and Barnet & Southgate College, I’m looking forward to joining up with the rest of the playing group next week” Adam Green
When asked about the benefits of the programme, Green commented:
“It allows me to virtually become a full time rugby player without compromising my education, it gives me more time on the training paddock and in the gym with pro coaches but more importantly, more game time”
Green will balance his commitments at the college with his London Broncos Academy duties as well as playing for the Skolars.
Speaking of the programme, Skolars’ General Manager Jac Davies commented.
“These are the types of players that we’re delighted to be welcoming on to the programme at BSC, Adam is a gifted young player and will feature for the Skolars in an U19s fixture against Scotland this Sunday.”
