During 2017, New River has built a reputation as being the home of rugby league in London. Having hosted Challenge Cup games for London clubs Wests Warriors and London Chargers, the ground has also hosted a number of events that have made it the choice destination of rugby league activity in the capital.

This work is to be reinforced throughout the remainder of the season as London Skolars host the London League Finals on Saturday 19th August as well as London Origin on Saturday 16th September.

London Skolars General Manager Jac Davies commented;

“It’s been a big push for us this year to get New River as a centre of activity for rugby league in London. We hosted London Chargers and Wests Warriors Challenge Cup games in the early rounds as well as plenty of junior activity such as schools festivals and the London Foundation’s PDC.  Bringing the finals and a day of Origin games is another step forward and another opportunity for the London Rugby League Community to experience our amazing facilities”
