Wests Warriors will play their third round Challenge Cup tie against Haydock at the New River Stadium.
Warriors will return to the ground where they successfully defeated GB Police in the first round of the competition as part of the hugely successful London Clash.
Speaking of hosting the event, Skolars General Manager Jac Davies commented:
“Whilst we were sad to see London Chargers drop from the competition in R2, we were excited to see Wests progress. With Skolars playing away, we were keen that New River should still host a game for local supporters. We’re building New River as the home of rugby league in London and by hosting two first round games, one in the second round and another in the third, we are living up to that ambition. The facilities here at New River are second to none, a decent sized grandstand and a state of the art playing surface make for a great day for players and supporters”
London Skolars also join the competition in R3, Playing local League 1 rivals Hemel Stags at the Pennine Way Stadium on Sunday 26th Feb at 2pm. It should make for a great weekend of rugby league for local supporters.
Please keep an eye on Skolars’ social media for more information on this and other fixtures in the coming days.
