London Skolars have today released a statement confirming the signing of former London Skolars, Keighley and Hemel Stags halfback Jy-mel Coleman for 2016.
Jy-mel currently has 32 appearances for the Skolars during a previous 3 year stint from 2009 to 2011 and is expected to commence playing with the squad in the next few weeks.
He is a very experienced player and will help the club move it’s playing ambitions to the next level for the 2016 season. He brings a wealth of knowledge of League 1 and Championship level football and is one of the best half backs at this level around. He will also be reunited on the playing field with his older brother Skolars Head Coach Jermaine Coleman.
Mark Croston Director of Football had this to say “Jymel will be a fantastic addition to the squad. We are playing well at the moment and still have a long way to go as a squad. Jymel will help bring the best out of the players around him and I am very excited at seeing him and Jermaine reunited on the playing field.”
He is eligible for selection from the 17th April onwards.
Skolars next home game is against Coventry Bears Saturday 23rd April at 3 p.m. Advance tickets are £10 and £5 online at skolarsstag.wpengine.com
