Junior Rugby League returns to New River this weekend as our U13’s and U17’s play host to Medway Dragons and Brentwood Eels respectively.

The U13’s will be looking to build on their first outing last weekend, which saw many of the team come together for the first time. They will be boosted with appearances from a number of returning players and Head Coach Paul Quill will have a full squad to pick from.

The U17’s were unfortunately left without a game last weekend as their opponents Invicta Panthers couldn’t field a side. However after a good training session they will be raring to go, and looking to start the season with a bang. Like their U13 counterparts the U17’s have recruited well this year and secured some exciting players who will no doubt add to what is a very impressive squad. Coaches Cuss, Pentecost, Scott and Hamer will all be looking for a big performance to back up their opening weekend win in the London Junior League 9’s.

Alongside the main games, our Mini’s Section and U15’s will be training so New River really will be a hive of Rugby League activity tomorrow morning.
