With less than two weeks until the London Skolars 20th anniversary dinner, there are still tickets available for what is gearing up to be a very good event, at the small sum of £30 per person.
The evening is being hosted at the Wesley hotel in Euston with a smart casual dress code. There will be a two course hot buffet served and a complimentary drink. With a host of players both past and present as well as others affiliated to the club attending it will provide a good opportunity for those to catch up and possibly reminisce about past glories.
However the major draw to the event is the guest speaker, Kris Radlinski. Kris is sure to have some good stories and provide a fascinating insight into the game considering his extremely distinguished professional career. Kris in 1995 became the first player to score a grand final hat trick as well as the youngest player to win the Harry Sunderland trophy at the tender age of 19. He would go on to win a second grand final ring as well as many caps for England and Great Britain, before taking up a senior management role with Wigan during their highly successful recent era.
Chairman Terry Browne when reflecting was extremely proud of Skolars developments over the journey and hugely optimistic for the future ‘I am proud to be the chairman of our club and proud of our achievements over the first 20 years. We have impressive plans for the next few years and I am sure that in far less than 20 years from now we will be the top London club playing in Super League. But for now I want us to celebrate together, directors, volunteers, parents, players, old boys, coaches and fans.’
So if you fancy joining in on the entertainment, possibly setting yourself up for a weekend of rugby league (England vs New Zealand takes place at the Olympic park the following day) then feel free to contact the club on 020 8888 8488.
