Rochdale claimed a thrilling 26-22 win over London Skolars in the traveling sides final League 1 game for 2015.
The Hornets kept alive their play-off hopes with a fast finishing win over London Skolars.
James Anthony was outstanding and did his best to sink the Hornets with a hat-trick of tries. Jimmy Morgan also touched down for the Skolars as they led 18-16 early in the second half and looked on the brink of an unlikely victory. Rochdale, however stamped their class and closed out the game with two further tries to deny Skolars a much sought after victory over a northern side.
Matthew Fozard, Wayne English, Alex Trumper, Dale Bloomfield and Danny Bridge scored the tries for Rochdale, who climbed into the fourth play-off spot ahead of Sunday’s final fixtures. While the Skolars’ year is over they showed a number of positive signs heading into next season.
