London Skolars are excited to announce the re-signing of 4 players for next year as the 2015 season draws to a close.
Both Sam Nash & Billy Driver have featured heavily towards the back end of the season which has seen Skolars make considerable improvements. Both players arrived at Skolars after a season playing Rugby Union at Southend RLFC. Billy, a Harlequins RLFC academy player, has become renowned for his darting runs from hooker and elusive footwork. He has scored 5 tries in 15 appearances. Nash, having never played League before this year, has surprised all with his direct and hard carries from the wing scoring 3 tries in his 6 appearances.
Aaron Small (pictured) and Dion Chapman were both part of our award winning Skolars community program as youngsters and have progressed through our talent pathway to make the senior squad. Small’s making numerous appearances for Skolars in the centre in 2012 before moving to Hemel Stags for two years. Upon his return this year Small was moved into the forwards, featuring heavily at second row and lock, as well as coming off the bench as an impact player. Dion on the other hand has struggled to find his feet in the starting 17 and has made only a handful of appearances in 2015, but there is no doubting the talent of the young man as a hard running sizable figure in the front row.
