Super League Champions Wigan Warriors Return to London for ‘Capital Challenge’ 2015
London Skolars Rugby League club are pleased to confirm details of the 10th annual Capital Challenge match, which will take place on January 16th2015 2 p.m..
This annual fixture will once again see London Skolars take on a Wigan XIII at the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) ground. Wigan won a rare double in 2013 when they won both the SuperLeague Grand Final and Challenge Cup Final. This is Wigan’s second year competing at the event and should be a massive draw for this prestigious event.
The match represents a unique opportunity to witness the professional sport of rugby league being played in the heart of the City at one of London’s most spectacular and prestigious venues. The event is in its 10th year and has become a high profile fixture in the heart of the City. The venue is the HAC and is perhaps one of the most unique rugby experiences you can have.
Skolars will be hosting a pre-match luncheon prior to the game. Guests will enjoy a delicious three-course meal with wine served in the HAC’s Banqueting Hall and will be entertained by guest speakers from the world of Rugby League before making the short walk outside to watch the Capital Challenge match. Spectators’ tickets can be purchased directly on the club website for £15 per person. Numbers are restricted at the HAC so fans are encouraged to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
