Fixture amendment

25th July 2014

The Skolars’ penultimate home Kingstone Press Championship 1 fixture against Oxford will now take place on Saturday 9th August at Hemel Stags’ Pennine Way ground with a 2pm kick off.

Initially this was set to be the first fixture on the new 4g pitch at the White Hart Lane Community Stadium but delays in the construction process have meant that this game and the Friday Night Lights clash with Hunslet Hawks have had to be rearranged.

Enfield Town had offered to help by staging the game against Oxford despite having their opening Ryman League fixture 24 hours earlier but for a number of logistical reasons this proved to be impractical and Hemel’s Bob Brown offered his Club’s venue. Unfortunately with the Stags having a home fixture of their own on Sunday 10th August it was necessary to bring the game against Oxford forward by a day.

Skolars’ Commercial Manager Pat Cluskey said, “Unfortunately the change in venue from White Hart Lane is something beyond our control and I’d like to apologise to our fans who will be faced with having to travel to a third ‘home’ ground this season.

“I’d also like to thank Oxford, Hemel and Enfield Town and their respective officials for their help in finalising the venue for this game and hope that all fans have an enjoyable afternoon on August 9th”
