Not only will the Skolars’ first team be in action at the QEII Stadium when they welcome title contenders York City Knights but all of our minis and junior teams will be there as the Club holds its Annual Award Ceremony and Family Fun Day prior to the Kingstone Press Championship 1 fixture.

The day gets underway at 11am when London Skolars U12s entertain their counterparts from St Alban’s Centurions at neighbouring Enfield Ignations. Doors at Enfield Town open at noon and there will be activities to keep the youngsters entertained such as a bouncy castle, face painting and a visit from Enfield Fire Brigades’ Red Watch and one of their fire engines.

The awards themselves get underway at 1pm and for the next 90 minutes individual teams will be presented with their trophies and medals whilst each coach will give a synopsis of their season. Following the awards ceremony for each team they will then sample the delights of our Skolars’ BBQ.

Also from 1pm the Kingstone Press Roadshow will be in attendance as they canvas fans’ opinions for their Player of the Season Awards.

Prior to kick off players from our younger sides will then form a guard of honour as they welcome both London Skolars and York City Knights onto the pitch just before 3pm

The man behind the event is Senior Community Officer Matt Cuss who said, “With the Olympic Suite out of action soon we thought it would be good to get all the players and their families together on a matchday. We pride ourselves as being a community club and once we return to White Hart Lane I hope we can run similar events during the season where we can come together to celebrate all that is good about London Skolars.

“I’d also like to thank all the coaches and the other volunteers who have helped put the day together and I’m sure it will be a great occasion for all involved.”
