With the majority of the league having last weekend off Skolars’ head coach Joe Mbu took the opportunity to see some of his players in action in both the ‘A’ and Merit games that took place at the White Hart Lane Community Stadium on Saturday.
Two victories, on the back of the emphatic victory at Oxford the week before, has left the squad in a confident mood prior to the visit of Gateshead Thunder to the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium this Sunday, ko 2pm. When the two teams met last month it was a game the Skolars failed to capitalise on and in torrential conditions the skill of Jamie Rooney proved to be the deciding factor.
The return to Enfield Town gives the Skolars the opportunity to close the gap on sixth place Thunder to just one point plus make inroads into the Gateshead points difference.
Advance tickets priced £10 adults and £5 concessions are now available online with match day prices £12 and £6 respectively.
Don’t forget that the game on Sunday kicks off at 2pm whilst the u19 fixture scheduled to have been played against Coventry Bears has been postponed.
