After discussions between the two clubs this morning it has been agreed that London Skolars postponed Northern Rail Cup group match at Rochdale, which was postponed due to bad weather, will now be played on Easter Monday, the 1st April. Kick-off time will be 3.00pm.
Commenting on the new date Skolars General Manager Howard Kramer said: “With a home league fixture on Good Friday it is far from ideal to be playibg this match on Easter Monday but Joe Mbu is keen to get the game played and avoid a potentail fixture backlog. Rochdale also play an important league fixture on Friday so were equally reluctant to play three days leter but agree it is the best option available to the two clubs”.
Following yesterday’s group result at South Wales Skolars have already qualified for the knockout stages and the Bowl Final at Halifax on Northern Rail Cup Finals day. Rochdale will not be able to qualify from their group due the points difference between them and Crusaders.
