London Skolars have signed free-scoring half back Dylan Skee for the 2013 Championship 1 campaign. The 26-year-old Australian has been outstanding for the club over the past two seasons and is happy to commit for next year.
Dylan, who spent three seasons at Harlequins RL, said: “Every year I’ve been here the club’s been building and hopefully next year we can get that promotion. Last year was a good season and next year we want to push on a lot more. It was a good season for me personally and hopefully I can push on as well.”
Last season Dylan made 22 starts for the Skolars scoring 226 points with 12 tries and 89 goals. His two tries and nine goals against North Wales Crusaders in March gave him a 26 point haul which beat his own record of 24, set the previous year against Rochdale Hornets. He broke the record again in July with two tries and 10 goals in the win over the South Wales Scorpions.
Skolars head coach Joe Mbu is delighted to have Dylan on board for next year. “This is a great signing for us,” said Joe. “Over the last two seasons Dylan has been one of our best players. He’s been a big influence and made a big impact and is the kind of player you can build the team around.
“Dylan’s a talented player with a lot of quality and he certainly knows his way to the try line. Those tries come on the back of the good work he does.”
