After last weekend’s tough encounter with Barrow Raiders Joe Mbu’s 1st team have a fixture free weekend. After the break the next fixture will be away to Oldham on Sunday 15th June.
Skolars A’s return to league action, after last weekend’s emphatic Cup semi-final win, with a home fixture against South London Storm. The match will be played on the Perth Road pitch adjacent to New River Stadium and kicks off at 2.30pm.
Saturday sees all four Skolars junior teams in action with Storm’s 18’s the visitors to take on Neil Thorman’s second placed 18’s side. Storm lead the league with a perfect record of ten wins from ten games so a tough challenge awaits the Skolars lads.
The 16’s make the jouney to South London to take on Croydon Hurricanes, another team with an impressive league record of ten wins from eleven games.
Paul Thorman’s 14’s are at home to Brixton Bulls. Cuurently Skolars sit four places above their opponents in the league.
Finally Ian Ackley takes his 12’s up to face Hemel Stags. This should be a close game with Skolars currently in sixth place in the league and their Hertforshire hosts in fourth.
Before all of the above games take place the juniors have their annual awards presentation night this evening at New River, when all age groups get to learn who has won player’s player, Coach’s player and most improved player awards in their teams. Skolars first team Captain Dave Williams will be present to hand out the awards.
