Following the one week hiatus in the Southern Premier for the Skolars ‘A’, they hosted Eastern Rhinos at home on Saturday attempting to make amends for their first defeat of the season to Hammersmith 2 weeks earlier.
Skolars ‘A’ looked purposeful from the off blitzing the Colchester based Rhinos and racing into a 32-4 interval lead. Whilst Skolars had the speed, there was no lack of size from the Rhinos who put in some huge hits in defence.
It was more of the same following half time, however, the Rhinos scored two deserved tries. The Skolars did their points difference a favour following the 64-16 win keeping them in pole position ahead of Hammersmith Hills Hoists. The Southern Premier takes a break this weekend with Skolars hosting West London Sharks in the quarter-finals of the Regional Cup on Saturday, 2.30pm kick off at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre.
