London Skolars under 18 player and Southgate College CORE member, Louie Sutherland (pictured – back row, centre, with arms folded), has been selected for Scotland Exiles Under 18 team. He has had an outstanding season for London Skolars U18s, rewarded by training with the first team as well as featuring in the North Origin under 18s squad, and now has received this accolade to end the season on a high.
The idea behind the exiles squad is for Scotland Rugby League to recruit under 18s players based in England but eligible to play for Scotland through birth, parents’ birth or the grandparent ruling. Scotland RL is increasing their player pool for international teams at all age groups and this
squad was formed to provide another tier of the selection process for the national team at under 18s level. Louie has had 2 training sessions with the squad and a game against Scotland Residents U18s in Glasgow. Louie has worked hard and sacrificed a lot for this opportunity. We wish him the best of luck in the next steps to progress to the full Scotland under 18s squad.
