Skolars player Matt Thomas visited Brine Leas School in Nantwich last week to pass on some health advice and sporting tips.
He spoke to a group of keen students about health, optimal nutrition and recovery, and also found time to show them a few rugby tricks.
Dominic Bradley, assistant head of PE at the school, said: “Matt gave an excellent health seminar for our Gifted and Talented students.
“He was able to share key skills on mental preparation, diet and nutrition and physical preparation for sport.
“Our students gained a valuable insight into how to prepare mind and body for elite sports performance.
“Matt used his rugby experience and work with professional coaches and scientists to enthuse our students and help them to take the next steps towards succeeding at a higher level.”
Matt has unfortunately missed most of the current season though injury but is making a good recovery and expects to be back playing soon.
