WELCOME TO NEW RIVER STADIUM

Welcome to the New River Stadium, the home of the London Skolars Rugby League, one of only two professional Rugby League Teams in London. Below we have set out everything you will need to know to make your match day as convenient as possible. NEW RIVER STADIUM

The New River Stadium, also known as White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre, is the home of London Skolars Rugby League and has one main stand, which fronts White Hart Lane.

The main stand seats 1,040 fans comfortably, with every fan having a good view of the whole playing area. There is terrace standing but this is only made available on special occasions when the main stand is full.

As a general rule we do not segregate Home and Away supporters and we always encourage and foster a friendly atmosphere where fans are happy to sit together and families feel comfortable.

Wheelchair access the main stand is available.

The price for 2011 entry is: £12 (Adult), £6 (Concession)

The Ticket Office is open at least two hours before kick-off and is located just inside the main entrance to the stand. Tickets can also be purchased in advance by contacing the club’s offices or by visiting the Skolars online ticket office, which you’ll find on this website.

DIRECTIONS

The Skolars Stadium is located approximately 1 mile from Wood Green Underground Station, which is on the Piccadilly Line, and only 15 minutes from Kings Cross Station.

The W3 bus from Wood Green Station drops very close to the Stadium and, on Friday Night Lights, Skolars run a courtesy bus service to and from the station (check for details). This service is is run by Arriva, one of Skolars long standing sponsors.

TRAVELLING BY ROAD

Follow M1 South to Junction 2, take exit onto A1 to the junction with the North Circular (A406).
Keep on North Circular for about 3 miles, following signs for Wood Green.
Turn right on A109 (Bounds Green Road) at traffic lights.
Keep straight on A109 for 1.5 miles, past Bounds Green tube station, and turn sharp left onto Wood Green High Road (A105) [coaches may need to turn from the right lane]
Keep on the A105 past the Haringey Civic Centre and turn right into White Hart Lane.
The Stadium is on the left hand side 0.5 miles down White Hart Lane.

CAR PARKING – There is ample pay and display parking in the car parks, which are located next to the main stand

REFRESHMENTS & BAR

The Olympic Suite is situated under the main stand and this is where the catering kiosk located, selling: Hot dogs, sandwiches, soups, cookies, crisps, snacks, teas and coffees.

Next to the kiosk is situated the Olympic Bar, which is generally open a couple of hours before kick-off, during the match and for an hour or so after the final whistle. The bar stocks a range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks

The Olympic Suite is where fans gather before the match for a drink. Match programmes and merchandise are on sale here and it’s a great place for a post-match drink as this is where the players from both sides come for their meals.

Skolars host a great real Ale Festival in the Olympic Suite at the Friday Night Lights game – our last home match of the season on the eve of the Challenge Cup Final

At certain home games beer can also be purchased at the back of the main stand, during the match.

MATCH DAY PROGRAMME

The London Skolars match day match day programme is sold at each Skolars home game for a price of just £2.50. Each edition has a host of player interviews, historical pieces, team news and stats.

Copies of Skolars match programme are sold in the Olympic Suite and at the rear of the main stand.

MERCHANDISE

The merchandise stall is situated in the Olympic Suite and sells replica Skolars 2011 home and away shirts, as well as Skolars polo shirts, baseball caps, ties and pens.

MATCH DAY

Generally Skolars home matches are played on Sundays and will kick-off at either 3.00pm or, on some occasions, 2.00pm. You can check with the club or the fixtures page on this website.

All matches will feature our famous mascot, Super Skolar, and you usually see our fantastic cheerleading girls, Skolars Cheer.

Pre-match entertainment varies but can feature a Masters Festival, a reserve or under 18’s team fixture. Please check with the club for details of curtain raiser matches and kick off times.
