After much deliberation, the London Skolars Board along with Head Coach Trevor McLachlan have made the tough decision to withdraw the men’s team from the London & East Premier League.
The decision hasn’t been made lightly and has been taken with various factors taken into consideration, i.e. Commitment from players, numbers at training, chances of improvement in the coming weeks, and how competitive the team is.
On paper 2025 looked good with 32 currently registered players plus many more who have come and gone across the last 2/3 months.
However, after several losses, a couple of matches forfeited, and one match re-scheduled the overall picture has become all too clear which leaves us where we are now.
We would like to make it clear to the Skolars fans that as a club we will continue moving forward, with a focus in 2026 on working with our partners, Elite Academy and creating youth teams,
and potentially a men’s team.
The Board would like to thank Head Coach Trev, Physio Gus and S&C Coach Patrick
for their commitment to the men’s team in 2025, and for the few committed players who turned up every week to training and games we wish you well.
And many thanks to our sponsors at HANetf , APX performance, and F&Jhospitality our catering partners for their hard work & ongoing support.
