London Skolar bound for World Cup Qualifiers

12th November 2015

London Skolar Louis Robinson is set to appear for the Canadian National team as they attempt to qualify for the 2017 world cup. The qualifiers will take place in Jacksonville, Florida between the 4th and 12th of December. The Canadians will have to not only beat the last World Cup’s surprise underdog package in the form of the USA Hawks (Who are currently ranked at number 10 in the world) but also the Jamaican National team (ranked 29th), which are sure to feature many players plying their trade in the UK.

Louis has represented Canada 7 times, scoring three tries in the process. He had this to say on the announcement ‘I am thrilled to be selected to represent Canada at the upcoming games, the possibility to play in a Rugby League world cup is a once in a life time event which I would love to help the country achieve. There are so many people behind the scenes who work extremely hard and would deserve this achievement. I am also extremely thankful to London Skolars and Jermaine for being supportive in allowing me the time off from our tough preseason.’
