    Friday 27th August 2010 - Co-operative Championship 1

    In front of a large crowd at New River Skolars put up a brave show against a strong Oldham team and at one stage, after half-time, trailed by only 6 points with the score on 18-24. However, Skolars were unable to make any further impression on the game and eventually went down 18-48 to the league's 2nd placed team.

CO-OPERATIVE AMBASSADOR PAUL SCULTHORPE SCORES IN CENTRAL LONDON

The Co-operative, sponsor of The Co-operative Championships and official partner of the RFL hosted a Rugby League Media Training day this week at The Honourable Artillery Company training ground in Central London as part of an initiative aimed at bringing Rugby League to the capital in the build up to the 2010 Carnegie Challenge Cup Final.

Skolars recently opened  online shop has enabled fans to purchase replica Skolars shirts, as well as match tickets, and has proved a great success with a lot of fans unable to get to matches now able to buy through the Skolars website.

Skolars are delighted to announce that their online shop is now selling cotton pique polo shirts in red or black. The shirts are available in a variety of sizes and feature an embroidered Skolars badge.

NFL Strength and Conditioning Programme comes to Rugby League

The Dynamic Sports Academy based in Finsbury Park, North London - www.dynamicsportsacademy.com, is pleased to announce the inclusion of five members of London Skolars into its programme. Aged 16-18 years, all 5 are part of the Skolars’ junior and youth  programme and members of the Centre of Rugby Excellence (CORE), run in conjunction with Saracens Amateurs RFC and based out of Southgate College.

The last month has seen several records broken by Skolars.

The highest ever score whilst losing has been broken twice, both away from home. The previous record was 35-33 versus Dewsbury Rams back in 2003. This record was beaten in the game at Workington Town (38-34) and was broken again in the next away game as Skolars went down 54-40 to Blackpool Panthers.
