    Carnegie Challenge Cup Third Round 7 March 2010

    Skolars worked hard against a strong Limoux side, but couldn’t complete in the second half against a side that played with typically Gallic flair.

    Limoux reached the semi-final of the French Cup last weekend and started in decisive fashion with their two prop forwards combining in attack, with the powerful Aaron Wood to open the scoring. Jermaine Coleman put in a fine tackle to stop wingman Stephane Selles, but conceded a penalty soon afterwards and Mathieu Mayans used his strength to crash through the defence.

Skolars Challenge Cup Result and Round Up

London Skolars put up a brave fight but went down 16-42 to French side Limoux Grizzlies in the third round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup at the New River Stadium. Full match report opposite . . .

In other matches played at the weekend Halifax based community club Siddal pulled off the shock result of the round by winning 0-26 at Doncaster. Siddal will now be dreaming of drawing one of the Super League clubs in the draw for the 4th round, which takes place this evening.

London Rugby League Celebration Day 2010!


Sunday the 14th of March 2010 will see a celebration of London Rugby League and its community take place at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre, where London Skolars, in conjunction with LondonRL, will host the 2nd annual London Rugby League Celebration Day ahead of their first Co-operative Championship 1 game against Swinton Lions.
