London Skolars are delighted to announce the signing of Xavier Rice on a year-long deal. The Hooker is joining the Skolars after spending three seasons with the Northcote Tigers, New Zealand.
Jermaine Coleman, London Skolars Head Coach, commented:
“ Xavier is a great player and we are thrilled to have him with us this season. He is a player who is full of energy and enthusiasm. He has a real willingness to work hard and always puts the team first.”. He added “Xavier is the type of player every team needs and I am really glad he has joined us ”.
Growing up in Auckland, New Zealand, moving to the UK and playing Rugby in England has always been Xavier’s goal. The 22-year-old is now looking forward to contributing to a successful campaign. He said:
“Coming from New Zealand was a big leap and I am stoked to have signed with the Skolars. I’ve heard good things about the culture Jermaine has been building over the past few years and it shows with the strong group of lads here. I am keen to have a dig and bring some kiwi blood to the Skolars campaign this year.”
