After a hugely impressive season, the U20′ came up short against a strong Wests Warriors in the London Men’s League Grand Final. New River played host to a wonderful match that was closer than the score line suggests, for much of the contest.

It was all to play for at half-time, with Wests narrowly leading 10-16. A Matt Ross try early in the second half raised hopes and got Skolars within four points. However, to their credit, Wests were calm under pressure and used all their skill and experience to extend their lead to an unassailable 16-38. Skolars must be praised for their positive attitude and still pushed to get the last points of the game.

Final Score: 22-38

After the match, Skolars held their end of season awards ceremony in the 1995 Bar. Congratulations to the whole squad and coaching staff on a wonderful season.
