London Skolars are delighted to announce the renewal of the dual registration agreement with Wigan Warriors.
Mark Croston, London Skolars Director of Rugby, commented:
“This is a significant opportunity for the Skolars and provides the younger talent at Wigan a fantastic opportunity to experience London and the challenge of League One rugby. Darrell and everyone at Wigan have been very supportive and provided opportunities for us to gain an insight into how a champion club goes about its business. They are linking up with a very determined group of players in North London.”
After Skolars hosted a successful pre-season opener against Wigan Warriors at the Honourable Artillery Company in the annual Capital Challenge game, the dual registration agreement is yet another example of the relationship between the two clubs blossoming.
Jermaine Coleman, London Skolars Head Coach, added:
“We are really excited with our relationship with Wigan Warriors. In the time I have been at the club it has gone from strength to strength. The partnership is fantastic for all. We not only get the opportunity to spend time at a great club and learn from good people, we also benefit from having some great players joining us and helping the first team perform on the pitch. James and Sam are both great players and have fitted in the group perfectly. They bring not only quality but a mentality that enhances the group.”
Kris Radlinski, Wigan Warrios Executive Director, said:
“It’s great to announce that some of our players will be heading to the capital to play for the London Skolars. Wigan have been a long-time supporter of rugby league in London and we believe that our players will benefit from the experience of playing competitive rugby in the Betfred League 1 for an organisation on that is clearly on the rise.”
