The Skolars 1995 clubhouse plays host today, Saturday 21^st October, to a very special ‘homecoming’ end of season #IAMASKOLAR celebratory awards.

Doors open from 3pm at Skolars New River Sports Stadium in Wood Green with presentations for the (very cute, but tough!) minis, top quality juniors followed by all age levels commencing from 3.30pm. Skolars 1^st Team awards get underway from 6.30pm followed by a Skolars-style celebration for the London legend and YOUR Captain, Dave ‘Pencil’ Williams, at 7.30pm.

The GIANT of London RL has hung up his boots and zipped up the kit bag for the final time. With over 140 appearances for the men from New River alongside stints with Quins and Broncos, Dave made his Super League debut in August 2008 against Hull FC and former Skolar, Gareth Raynor. Tomorrow is your final chance to say a big Skolars thank you and bon voyage to the big man.

Fresh chicken street food experts, ‘Chiquen’, based at The Mall in Wood Green, will also be on hand with FREE (yes we love a freebie too) samples of all their delights including fire grilled chicken, strips, grilled wings, fire roasted potatoes, awesome fries, fresh coleslaw and a range of their fab sauces and blends.

A range of special cut price drinks deals will also be on offer for eager fans at London’s ONLY dedicated Rugby League bar.

It promises to be a HUGE day of all things #Skolars. So, time to party like it’s Saturday night; bring your friends, family, partners, non-partners, drinking buddies, those you wish to impress, those you wish to be smug with and most of all, bring your Skolars PRIDE.

Oh, and don’t forget to take lots of pics for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook….(to show the poor souls stuck at home watching TV talent shows)!

DRESS CODE: Dress down, dress up (tuxedo if you wish) – but smart casual and even Skolars replica kit works for us!

5pm:                       It’s……CHIQUEN TIME!!! Free 2 hours (yes lots of food) of delicious delights

5.30pm:                 Presentations Finish

6pm:                       Skolars 1^st Team players arrival

6.30pm:                 Player presentations with Head Coach, Jermaine Coleman

7.15pm:                  Presentations conclude

7.30pm:                 Dave Williams welcome and presentation

7.45pm:                  Party the night away!
