The Skolars have strengthened an already strong squad with the addition of 3 exciting outside backs who have recently graduated from the London Broncos Academy programme.

Youngsters; Callum Whitcombe, Fred Dodd and Jordan Williams all will add depth and youthful exuberance to what is shaping up to be an exciting squad for 2017. Head Coach Jermaine Coleman is confident that the trio will be able to make an impact at the New River Stadium.

Speaking of the new additions, Head Coach Jermaine Coleman said:

“I’m delighted that we have managed to secure Callum, Fred and Jordan, I’ve monitored their progress at the Broncos and spoke at length with Jamie Langley about their potential and myself and the rest of the coaching team are looking forward to working with them.”

All three players are products of the London Youth & Junior League, with Whitcombe beginning his RL career at Brentwood Eels, Dodd down at Staines Titans, and Jordan Williams with North Herts Crusaders. All three have also taken part in the Hard Rock Café Origin series, where London Broncos spotted their potential, and they earned  Academy contracts.

Coleman spoke about the players and the opportunity they will have at Skolars:

“All 3 players have shown up well in our initial pre-season work and you can see they are strong, quick athletes, who have a level of professionalism about them. I’m looking forward to seeing how they shape up in our pitch sessions and I expect to see them all push our established outside backs hard for that starting spot against Wigan in January.”
